With Your Arms Around Me

With Your Arms Around Me 
I can get through any day.
When I can hear your heart beat
I’m then compelled to pray.
O Lord, how I need you
To keep Your Arms Around Me
Don’t release me for a moment
Lest my fallibility I fail to see.

The oppressor is angry
Because I desire to work for you
In a unique and treasured manner
Obedience solely in view.
I ask your forgiveness for seeking elsewhere;
Desiring the things of this world,
That I have no need of here.

With Your Arms Around Me
I’ll have the peace of mind to tell
Of such wonderful love I’ve known
Such love that does compel.
You constantly give me
Everything I need.
You’re not asking me to help you
For some personal, useless greed.

With Your Arms Around Me
I can get through any trial or woe
As long as I surrender all
Your arms around me go.
I feel your sense of protectiveness
Your deep compassion and love.
Please keep Your Arms Around Me
Until I’m found in heaven above.
