Poem
this is not a drill. it's going to happen the end of you me them they are going to do it hold tight to me and vow your love swear to never part until the blood runs cold you only live once so hold closer hold tighter hold longer you don't know the last time you'll see your dearest so hold closer hold tighter hold longer it's coming now they're really doing it debris flutters around us as we are holding closer holding tighter holding longer people scream and we cling tight bricks fall lifelessly beams fall lifelessly people fall lifelessly yet we'll be there holding closer holding tighter holding longer and then it's dark but i can still feel someone holding me closer tighter longer than ever and i think to myself why can't this be a drill why can't this be a mistake why can't someone stop them while someone is holding me closer tighter longer now still i hear people screaming i hear their screams cut short i hear you breathing and then i can feel pain anger sadness mixed in one but most of all someone holding me closer tighter longer i hear it before it hits i hear you lean forward and say, this is it i love you i always did and now... and even though i'm sure you aren't there i can still feel someone holding closer tighter longer and though i am sad i still am able to think someone loved me for always and forever why did it take death to bring us together? and finally i feel nothing no pain or sorrow and the last of my moments were of me feeling someone hold me closer tighter longer people will find us later bones and ashes they'll see someone there someone here someone near the entrance but best of all they'll see you and me done not holding closer or tighter or longer but holding each other still for not our lives but our love and they'll think they loved once and what was pure is destroyed and they'll go home and hold their lovers closer and tighter and longer and think about us still sittin' there still holding closer tighter and longer
