Poem

“Blessed is everyone that feareth [loves] the Lord; that walketh in his ways. For thou shalt eat the labour of thine hands: happy shalt thou be and it shall be well with thee." Psa 128:1-2 KJV

Blessed are those folk
Who always fear the Lord;
Walk continually in His ways—
His love not ignored.
Happiness is not in things
Because they are innate;
Happiness is in serving;
Our good Lord to emulate.

When we willingly give to others,
Not expecting a return,
God’s love shines through each one of us;
Such love does not adjourn.
Love’s what makes the difference
To each and every heart;
It touches the poor and needy;
The bitter soul - no love to impart.

Happiness is much more
Than just a state of mind.
It’s found in a heart that’s full
Of God’s love to find.
When our hearts are overflowing
From heaven’s fountain on high,
Others are drawn to us,
As we tap God’s endless supply.

Happiness comes from doing
What God asks of us.
It often becomes our passion,
When we obey regardless.
We must not use our gifts
Ourselves to glorify.
These gifts are for God’s glory;
Heaven’s Happiness to ally.
