Distantly dreaming of a life that has passed
Running and dodging the shadows it cast.
Life flies by, seems it moves way too fast
I hope this feeling grows and that it shall last.

Distantly dreaming of moments yet to come
I envision myself outside standing in the sun.
I see who I am and dream of who I shall become
The weight on my shoulders, it feels like a ton.

Distantly dreaming I just close my eyes
I see myself flying so high in the sky.
Moment like the breeze simply pass by
I feel there is no one luckier than I.

Distantly dreaming of reaching new heights
I give it my best it shall take all my might.
The past is behind but it has taken a big bite
A cold wind awakens as I pass into the night.

Distantly dreaming I just wish on a star
I see this big moon and it doesn’t seem far.
The light shines down to reveal who you are
I shall jump higher, for someone raised the bar.

Distantly dreaming I’m right back at the start
I’ve seen it before so I remember the part.
I see all before me with this dream in my heart
The memories become the glue so I don’t fall apart.
