Poem

Are you wicked before God?
Is there someone you need to forgive?
Ask for the gift of forgiveness—
So your wickedness may not live.
The anger and torture of unforgiveness—
Is not in the nature of love;
Give it all to God;
Ask for deliverance from above.

Unforgiveness causes depression;
Thoughts of death reside;
Only through the gift of forgiveness—
Can the demons be denied.
We have all had to deal with pain,
And hurt that’s often so cruel,
But God wants us to forgive—
Forgiveness provides renewal.

Because God has forgiven us,
He expects us to forgive;
Not hold thoughts of judgment,
That are nothing but unproductive.
They cause various illnesses,
And hold us in bondage.
God wants us to be free—
Freedom is a privilege.

God will gift you forgiveness—
All you need to do is ask;
If you think that you can do it—
You’ve under-estimated the task.
Only God can provide forgiveness;
He’s the one who did firstly forgive.
He will set you free from wickedness—
Enable you in love to live.
