Poem
Come back to me I cried day and night after she walked away I cried due to my love for her to come back But no way to persuade her She had made her choice to walk away I mourn her absence Since i am inspired in her presence I thought i have lost her forever Since i could not fathom how to get her back Then i turned to God To seek counsel Since he is aware of my pains As i cast my burdens upon him I said, you know i love her And you know my love for her Is your love for me I said, i can't just think of her walking away from me As you can't just think of me walking away from you And he asked, what do i want? And i said, i want her back But i can't just fathom her coming back Because she is engaged with another guy Whenever the thought of her come back cross my mind I choose to change the idea as i bind and do not mind Then generate other thoughts to sweep it away like the wind But i never knew God was in action Since he only know what could happen To every single soul on earth Then God came calling me to call her After many months of separation As i reason with God not to call her Since she is engaged with another guy Then God kept silent Since i choose not to reason along with him Now i know obedience is better than sacrifice Then came sleepless night as my soul yearn for her Then came nightmares as my heart wrestle for her Then came the presence of God as a burden Calling me to call her and listen to her Calling me to call her and know whats wrong Calling me to call her as i always call her Yet i ignored and was restless for days and months Until that fateful thursday When i decide to call her Instantly her phone number dropped in my heart Since I have deleted it from my phone book Because of the hurt feeling of her walking away Because of the pain i passed through As I dialed, she responded I queried about her position When she reveal her position It was a different story Deep in my heart I was sorry For the pains she passed through The pains of betrayal Part of me was happy Since i know she will come back to me Part of me was grieved Because of the stigma she had to face I never knew she was in such disposition Until I came calling to know her position Now I know, that was why God came calling To visit her, to console her, to reassure her That she is coming back to me And come back into my love And come back into my heart So that we will live together And spend the rest of our lives F.O.R.E.V.E.R Just come back to me
