Poem
What went wrong? Before both was co-creator of the human race And were co-equal, in nature of their person and unique in function As they co-exist in harmony as the co-creator of the family unit As he said, you are the bone of my bone and the flesh of my flesh And she shall be called woman, he said… And for this reason dating and courtship was ignited And thus leading to the Marriage institution Until she made a fatal decision so we heard That caused the rift and then the fall so we learned By eaten the ‘forbidden fruit’ so we were informed And he made matters worse by his attitudes so we read By his blames and excuses when he was questioned In the role she played and the role he played And the rift led to a separation And the separation led to suppression And the oppression of the feminine power was actualized Through fret and fear And forcefully rule without her consent Because the male considers the female a foe In every, aspect and precept of life endeavors… He took over the duty of the family and the public life Allowing her to be passive in decision making as he considers her as inferior to him When in the beginning she was proactive...but at moment Enslaved to him as culture dictates in favor of him His physical presence was a threat to her She is without freedom to make a choice Seen as a second-class citizen over the years Position such as housewife was tagged with her When she possesses similar creative power such as the male But was denied by the fearful nature of the male ego Who will loose her from this bondage of ancient years? As she is dominated by the fear of the male ego Except the maker turns back the hands of time…since Without her, he is a slave to the pressure of public life Without her, he cannot ultimately fulfill his life adventure As she cries…she agonize in pain…in her heart she bleeds Why can’t she be loved again…why can’t she be trusted again? Why still judging her by the past…why resisting the power she’d offer Why can’t he accept her the way she is and love her the way he is Since it is in his nature to admire her and chase her And without her fulfilling her purpose as a female…he is damned Because nothing else can fill the void of the female-energy in his life Neither wine…nor money...nor cars…nor drugs…nor mansions She’s an indispensable gift to him as God is to him She is an Angel to entertain by him A Miracle worker in disguise like him Since he'll always crave for her each day And always delight in her everyday.
