You don’t have to say that you loved her
Oh baby please, as much as you want to
I get tired of the lines you use when it’s over
It seems that I let you pass for quite a while but I’m through

I didn’t want to let you go, but there is a time where we let go of those who we thought were the ones
The ones who end up messing with our heads until they shatter in the end
And the ones that come back when they want us to play the game again
It would be nice to see you think about what you say before you speak 
That would have been the best way to know if you were more than a friend
I can be better off in my dreams because in reality I have nothing to gain
I’m already losing it all and you’re finding everything at a mountains peak

All the things I’ve said to you is left in the past now
And the things I’ve done for you are erased from my history
Because I know you will never change, and neither will I

I’ve put everything out of my misery
You never even asked me why, so don’t bother asking how
There’s someone out there who takes their time to listen to what I have to say
It’s down to him to end this game you and I failed to play
