Poem

I tried to sleep, in shapes and forms, not of myself, but of the darkness 
and dim light.
By confessions..overdue, my mind tosses and turns,
Oh this burns, in pale colors, of a gentlemans forgotten ground.

I tried to awake,
in shades and molecules, not my own, and still alone, myself I own.

Sound and sight,
Black and white,
Hints and tints,
Of dreams I've slept,
In a crystal vase I have wept, and here the chimes of chilly winds.

I tried to see,
The captivated thoughts of another,
Beneath the skin of mine, and ticking clock of time, I could not feel, the 
sound.

Dust builds up,
The collection, reads like novel ideas, of once befores, and locations
 passed. 

I I tried to awake of my own will,
But I feel the pain of another, 
And feel helpless, this I cannot subdue, nor soothe, nor remedy with my 
will to heal her.

I tried to sleep,
Yet I weep,
And also smile, there is endurance, and touching words, I hope bring a 
smile to such a sweet soul.

I have no need of sleep,
In shapes and forms, other than my own,
And alone, myself I own,
But comfort comes, in waves of tones,
Of melodies she plays with unseen touch, oh I feel,
I am not alone, and neither my own,
When I sing out of tune,
And off key,
To her, in my dreams,
And when awake,
I still sing, with the chimes of her soul,
All her own.
