WAKE UP FOR THE SAKE OF THE LOVE YOU TWO MAKE

A lot of men awake to their lover glaring and fearing what’s to come
While I awake to a lover who’s sweetly staring at me, a gaze that leaves me numb
A lot of men hear growls instead of “oh, good morning my sweet
While I hear whispers from an angel’s lips when another dawn we greet   

She floats around our bedroom taking this off and putting this on
While other men never meet a star, my lover is the only star I wish upon
Then table toward she leads me for home-made biscuits and oolong tea
Other men sip coffee with women they curse meeting, but certainly not me

Other men chose a woman they knew not long enough to marry
Whilst I was hurried, harried and hoping her “I do” would not tarry
Some men regret every morning the mate they wake up to
As for me I wake up to blonde locks, great looks and eyes of flaming blue

Other men have regrets and remorse for what they’ve gone and done
But if you seek to meet a man who worships his miraculous mate, I’m the one
Other men carry each day from dawn to dusk a weight that seems a ton
Other men fight battles for beauty but I am a mighty warrior who’s won
