From the very beginning
Our emotions were hard to hide,
For the meaning of true love
In my heart I would soon find.

I would find how wonderful it felt
To be with you, never wanting to part,
Or the feeling I would get from looking
In your eyes, that invade and capture my heart.

Especially when you would hold me tight
Just to reassure me that you care, 
The warmth and happiness in me 
Was too good to bear.

The joy I felt with you
Was unlike any other before,
And with every waking moment
I knew I loved you even more.

Then all of a sudden 
You were slowly slipping away from me,
Now the love you had for me 
Was ending, how could that be?

Was our relationship over?
I wonder, unable to stop from crying,
The warmth had left my heart
And my soul was cold and dying.

Was I so easily forgotten?
Was my love so quickly thrown away?
Even though you hurt me so much,
I love and think about you every day.

Now you've just disappeared
From my life, or so it seems,
But you'll always be in my heart,
In my precious fading dreams.
