TO RECOND THE RIGHT ROAD

The lovely lady announced she was going to nap in our bed
So it was imperative I write while dreams dripped in her head
One so lovely, one so rare upon our bed shared by I
A lucky man indeed, to have Aphrodite standing by
And my lover laden in lace and a diamond with nary a flaw
Now the following is an accurate rendering of that which I saw

Drifting off to slumber midst the number of her angels
My lover
Platinum blonde hair draped dreamily a little bit over the bed
My lover
Whose hair is spun to silver and to grace society at large
My lover
Who I know prays fervently for me to reckon the right road
My lover
Who came along with a tool to help me with my load
My lover
For look at her cheeks and lips of crimson red
My lover
Looking so sensuous in our bed
My lover
The one to whom I’ll bid a “good morning my dear”
My lover
A cherub wrapped in lace and lay too long for me
My lover
A beautiful woman whom were I away would ever long for me
My lover
Blanketed by beauty, quilted by quiet and made for a dream of loving and a smile beaming
My lover
And then I realized I was the one who had been dreaming
