I try to live my life free from worldly fetish
At times I experience a lot of mental anguish
I’m stuck in a mental prison, feeling delusional
Imagination running wild, maybe I’m just emotional
As if being punished for an unknown crime
Living this life became like doing time
I’m having countless dreams that don’t make no sense
I often lie awake feeling kinda tense
Afraid of falling prey to some other rival
My broken spirit in this place needs revival

As the devil’s lies in our eyes begins to entice
Sooner or later we all become his sacrifice, 
And pay the price of living an ignorant life half the time
Can someone please tell me if this is a crime
They say that ignorance is bliss, yet the fallacy of the human mind continues to 
astonish me, coz I just wanna be pure.

And on some quiet nights, I can hear a brother scream from the agonizing pain of a 
sharp shank in his gut, the fallacy of the human mind continues to astonish me, but I 
just wanna be pure, yes I just wanna be pure.

The screams in my head gets louder everyday
And I slowly watch my sanity carried away
I hear the sounds of prison life across the silent hallways
And the footsteps of the guards on every doorway
The fallacy of the human mind continues to astonish me, coz I just wanna be pure, yes 
I just wanna be… me.

This day’s black fate like on most dates, brings tears to my eyes as I pay the price, 
doing my time.
