i lock myself inside my mind
to try and find all the reasons why
each and every day
i look at the stars and begin to cry
but i look at you, looking back at me
and i know your searching for the things to say
but theres no words to fix what you have done

Im still staring at the stars
wishing to look into your eyes
to see you smile one more time
to hold your hand in mine
but i dont know why

im hoping for the inevitable
remembering that we had something beautiful
but it was something you couldnt see
it was too hard for you to believe
that you were my world
i held you above everyone
i was there for you through all the ups and downs

I tore my heart out
to see if i could end the pain
i cant lie my head down at night
without seeing your face
tormented by your memory
living in my own misery

this doesnt seem quite fair
but its not the first or last time
that youll be breaking someones heart

im still staring above
trying to find
the truth about love
ill give my heart
and have it handed back in pieces
why does this keep repeating

but now i realize
love is full of lies
held together
with all your pretty words
and painted on smiles

everything seems real for a little while
until your cheated and used
you swore to never make the same mistake again
only to find yourself stuck in his smile

but ill never believe another word
