Poem

I gave my name to the sparrow
Perched on high and wintered bough
And he stared at me quite strangely
I should have expected so

He hopped from branch to branch
Head cocked to the left and then the right
And as I sat beneath his tree
He kept me company all night

I guess I was a sight to see
Clad in only mather natures clothes
Huddling in a shivering ball
A hint of crimson on my nose

The sparrow started squaking
My hands flew to my ears
For his boisterous voice I heard
Was not a sound one would revere

Hours the sparrow sang horribly
May have been heard miles away
I did not get his reasoning
Or why he carried on this way

I figured it out soon enough
When i heard the voices, close but few
The sparrows obnoxious squawk
Led to my grateful rescue

So now I always carry breadcrumbs
Incase I happen by
That helpful little sparrow
Who happen to save my life
