Poem

WIFE

Ask a desert thirst about water,                                                       1
Ask a prisoner about freedom,                                                         2
Ask me why  I  love                                                                        3


Her :  she’ ll direct soul from wild wind,  ‘ll  repair all:                         4  
The ragged sleeve of my spirit  knitted up tight.                                 5
Her shield : erect, sole, firm, while dwindle our perils :                       6
The rugged   edge   I leave  and step out  of  the night.                      7


So many bare, ring-hollow spaces  sent chill feels;                             8
These gaping  holes  in fabric torn  are sewn  new,  sealed.                9
Some, any, bearing hollows, pace essential  fields:                           10
This dusty desert cold  is sown now  and will yield.                            11


Knowing  nothing so long,                                                               12 
Her fertile smile,  her redressing stitch,                                            13  
Saves my everything  in time.                                                         14

Notes:   this is a new form which I have created, which is called "double sound"

If you read aloud lines   4   and  6,  you will hear identical sounds, yet the words in  the lines are completely different. At the same time, the lines are closely linked in meaning.

If you read aloud lines   8  and  10, you will find the same phenomenon.

I believe this is an entirely new  technique in poetry
