~The Only Solution~ It’s the only solution isn’t it amazing Words transcribed by lightning emblazing Etched upon stone that hangs on our tomb When flowers no longer blossom and bloom We shed divine spirit of faith for the flesh Without weaving prophecies into the mesh Divided our cultures definitions of belief Across this world both above and beneath Although the heavens constantly mothered The truth still remains mortally undiscovered And the time to learn our survival assignment Lies in synchronization of universal alignment The vibration of higher existence grows closer The story starts over as this one finds closure The new generation and their hardships become Reminders of this one and how it grew numb ***************************************** About This Poem: Years ago when I first began writing poetry and exploring different levels of our existence, I was heavily influenced by Jim Morrison and The Doors. It became an obsession about a year after my best friend of 22 years committed suicide and to be honest still catalyzes my mind today. I began writing a book about 6 months ago I’ve always wanted to do basically describing how The Journey began and some of the experiences through the years that changed my life. I’d always written notes and journals, so each year from 1993 on became a chapter detailing events that were truly miracles right in front of my eyes at times. The other day I was sitting with my wife talking about how rewinding all these things was kind of haunting me. She made a comment that she believed my belief was being tested right now and told her that is how I truly felt lately. A little later something happened that basically gave me those signs that in the past always reassured me of just how real The Journey is. Then while prepping to write a little in the new book,I thought I’d play a few Doors songs for inspiration. When the song Shamans Blues ended, the last line you hear Morrison say is “It’s the only solution, isn’t it amazing” I stopped the music and let that line sort of echo in my mind for a moment. Suddenly I start hearing words and started writing. In the next few moments I’d wrote these words so fast that I didn’t know for sure what I’d written. That’s how it would happen in the past. If I had any doubts in the ability of belief I’ve been offered whenever I need it, I don’t anymore. May the Light of Shangri~La Shine on this Existence. Peace~ James (Book 11 ©2015 "The Journey Generations of Failed Expectations")
