Poem
I can faintly smell your perfume. It’s fragrance lightly on my skin. Alone here in our room. With all the pain I feel within. Lately I’ve been sleeping. On your side of the bed. Everything seems to be spinning. So much racing through my head. I hate when the phone rings. I never want to take a call. It just reminds me of the call I got. That night I lost it all. I can feel you near when I’m thinking of you. I can feel you here when I start to cry. I can hear your voice in my ear when I start breaking. Wish I could feel you at night lying by my side. I can see you there in my dreams. You have always been there in my life. Still you calm me down when I feel like screaming. In my darkness your there to be my light. Nothing will ever stop the way I am feeling. Nowhere to go I can’t run and hide. Will I forever be broken with my heart bleeding? Time has stood still since the moment you died. I know how you see how I am living. Didn’t figure to face the world with a piece of my heart gone. I still feel the warmth that you keep giving. Like the words you gave me to write this song. I’ll always remember as we talked. Laying there in bed. We had just made love. I still remember all the words you said. There was a perfect smile on your face. As you curled your body into mine. I didn’t think this would ever be my last taste. I never thought I would be alone here at night.
