Forgiveness By Author Ren R. Royal The world is full of differences we all proclaim is right, How can we let go of our indifferences, And forgive instead of fight? The world is full of people who will gain at any price, We cheat, we steal, we lie-in order to get ahead, Why do we gamble with such loaded dice? The world's portrait of arrogance gleams its reflection, Often these imperfections we try and hide, But will they pass the Lord's inspection? The world is full of crime that leaves many victims suffering, False prophets and leaders claiming Jesus name, The cloud of doom seems impending. The world at large is full of goodness also, Because Christ died and rose, we are forgiven, As gifts of God's mercy and grace bestow. The despairing world is changed – the horizon of Forgiveness appears, Love's light shines through hatred's blinding glare, Wiping away the sorrowful tears. The world sings the song of revenge's passion with its angry chord, Yet the note of God's forgiveness and compassion, Leaves an astonishing reward. The world of many languages speaks the Lords Prayer, “"Forgive us our sins, as we forgive those who sin against us." This love we find in others is genuine and rare. Vengeance divides, yet forgiveness unites, hand-in-hand, Forgiveness is the remedy to two hearts collided, That brings the song of peace to the land. The world is hopeful because the hand of forgiveness reached out, Once divided in blame, now united in Christ, God forever, every century, all time throughout. The world is full of living faith because Christ's gospel lives on, Freed from resentments, each heart forgives, When "Christ our solid rock" - we stand upon. How can the lost in the world be found? How can the Gospel Word speak? By sharing the note of forgiveness sweet sound. The world is full of those who walk in faith, not sight, Spreading the aroma of salvation's bouquet, With joy's fragrance to the hearts delight. The world is full of orchestras, as the chorus of life is playing, When forgiveness emits its radiant glow, Christ's love alive is portraying. When we forgive, it is Christ we represent, Because my Savior, Jesus Christ first forgave me, Forgiveness ignites the flame of atonement. Forgiveness is the key that opens the door to healing, Forgiveness unlocks even a heart of stone, Because it is Christ, ever-living, REVEALING.
