"What is Civility to you?" Civility [si-vil-i-tee] –noun,plural-ties. 1.courtesy; politeness. 2.polite action or expression: an exchange of civilities. 3.Archaic. civilization; culture; good breeding. So Civility is being polite; like opening doors for others or saying God bless you when someone sneezes... But number 3.civilization combining: A Nation of Civil People... I'm sorry, but not everyone is a civilized person, and cultures of others have been dying since they do not meet to the standards of: cellphones T.V's Computers and other gadgets and do-dads, that have been grasping young minds imagination to grow dull, and weakly power to color their own visions. There where many Civilizations back then, Incan and Mayans use to be the grandest empires... but supposed Civilized people came and showed them...or stripped them a much better way of life and living... So I guess a Civilization now is just herds and herds of people living in a giant mass of area. Deteriorating in a dying mass of area. Dying..in a giant mass of area. Haha and what's the deal with the good breeding part? Does that mean healthy offspring, that would grow to decent Men and Ladies? So in other words Children born with Mental disabilities do not have Civility? I knew a boy with Down Syndrome, that would say bless you to everyone, and wave to every person that passed... Course many ignored him; those born with normalcy, those born well bred, those who are the ones that are supposed to have Civility. But the Retard doesn't... "And how could you benefit from it?" Benefit... So my acts of Civility must Benefit me? Surely I enjoy my please and thank you's from others, but there should not be any Benefits of these act of mostly kindness. But then this world is mostly filled with people like that... If I do this, what will I get? If I help you, will you help me? If I am a good person to myself and others I will go to heaven.. cause that is my benefit Isn't that such a selfish way of thinking? "What is Civility to you and how could you Benefit from it?" Civility to me is just a word, just like many other words, that our minds have some how conjured to come out of our mouths, but the world over all does Benefit from people's many acts of kindness, hopefully not selfish in thought. If this word could have a feeling, it would be effortless want to care. Not saying God bless you to check it off the list.
