A Puzzle of Words

Formatting a poem makes writing such fun!
Each one is a game that winds, as it wills.
A puzzle of words, each relished with thought.
And after the fun, it’s ready to share.
It matters not why the writing was done.
Nor does it matter…
Upon which frame it is hung.
Words from the heart will float on the breeze.
And follow the bend, wherever it leads.
A challenging task is this powerful quest.
As eloquent words their liberty greet.
Expressions from hearts…
Will flourish with ease.
And give at the moment that someone else reads.
So, limber the minds and manifest hopes.
The eternities ring with words for every scene.
The past and the present enjoy poets’ gifts.
Whether formatted free or in puzzling forms.
The words from the heart of thinkers these days,
Flow from the pen and float on the breeze.  
These things I share from within my heart.
For my soul has said that I am a poet.
