I never thought it would happen
I never thought you would leave
but my biggest fear in life
has taken over me

You were my love, my life, everything I had
but you are the one who walked away
so why do I feel so bad

Even through all the fighting, the anger
and the pain, deep within my heart
I loved you just the same

I couldn't believe it happened
I couldn't believe it was real
I hurt so much inside
it was hard to think or feel

I lost the only thing I loved
you were everything to me
a billion tears poor through my eyes
making it hard to see.

Here you are in my life again
it is wonderful to love you
but this time you're my friend

A friend I love and cherish so deeply
I would be honored to have his name
all I can do is prey every night
and hope you feel the same

You're the only one I want
and all i'll ever need
now all that I want
is you right here beside me

My love for you grows with every touch
every smile, and every glance
there's just so many things
that you have yet to understand.

I try to show you every day
even through a little glance
I would give my life away
for another chance
