Poem
Haiti my mother no beauty comes close to yours. You who gave me pride, you who gave me strength to seize everything that is possible in life. You are now at your weakest point only to prove to all that strength is not about size but it's only the bond that binds your children together. I am forever grateful to call you mother, I am forever proud to call you my home land of birth. I am forever proud to be born and grew up next to you; I am forever looking forward to one day return to you. Who am I to be without you, for you are my birth stone, who am to be if you didn't strengthen me to face my adversary, who am I to be if you didn't build me to have so much pride in my heart, you thought me to never allow people to walk all over me. You thought me to be proud of whom I am. Seen you struggling don't bring tears to my eyes but only put hope and courage in my heart for the best is yet to come. Though there is pain and sadness in your children's eyes we all want you to know you are our heart and what keeps us going. To quote one of your greatest line l'unio fait la force. Many might believe we forget what's that stand for as we are look today in our times of need your sons and daughters can never forget what is engrave in their blood for we all forever remain Haitians; as we come together to support each other to pray together we thank you dear mother. We Haitians are grateful and proud to call you ayiti Cherie. We are not mad even though we are sad. And in our sadness we shall find strength and courage to move forward for a better future.
