I lay in bed every night, holding you with these thoughts in my head,
waking up every morning , wishing it was my arms holding you instead.

I waited so many years for my dreams of having you to come true,
I was so happy when finally I got to come home to you.

I sit here wishing that I could always have you near,
we were never far apart, and you would always be here.

I told myself that you were sent from the heavens above,
that God would send me this angel, to share my life and love.

Times have gone by, and all I have are these hopes and dreams,
could of beens, should of beens, and would of beens, that's all we have it seems.

My dreams of loving you, the thought of seeing our love grow,
taking the time to hold you, and your thoughts I wanted to know.

All I wanted was a chance, but you want to walk away from me,
all this love I have for you, for some reason, you can't see.

So I sit here thinking of times we could of had,
but you want to walk away, if ever times get bad.
