Poem
To my dearest dear… Writing for you…first time.. Hope you are doing fine, All these days being with you You gave me back once again Those gleeful days of mine. It really matters to me a lot All those days spend with you, Though a few Yet everyday it seems to me anew. Crazy little things au fait to school days memories Daily round corridors and bugging your batch mates Pleasing my heart a desire to be your soul mate. Obscurity your mind yet a devotee my heart, All through those days I was known to be a big time flirt. Came out of those days a sudden conversance, Couple of colloquy and you avowed me then As an acquaintance. Days of glory build upon by consigned trust Bit of chin wags brought up familiarity in us. The passage of time changed my mind I felt sorry and you approached by my side. Days followed by malicious gossips A day by coffee and a day by lunch We build up a relationship more than a trust. Outspoken those guffs and filthy messages Yet sometimes I bugged you By my flimsy emotional craps. Lost my wits once at your blabs against me As I thought you were playing with my emotions That ruined my longanimity. I felt, I erred, I apologized When I realized I was missing you for a long time. You made me then to realize what I was I felt so alone and so ashamed Yet again you affirmed me with your care. You showed me the way where I was And you gifted me with a life to live.. You brought me up to this world And you gifted me with a new beginning I am so thankful to have you as a friend And am so esteemed by your presence I am so proud that to know you so closely And am so ‘fraid if I lose you once again. Oh! My friend promise me that Whatever happens…you will be my side Promise me that you will be there every time. I have taken an oath, you will live… A life full of spirits and smiles. I will be just waiting for you To hear from you at the earliest… You are just remembered today, And penned forever in this letter So that to miss you day after day. With love…your longed amigo. (Please note: this poem is dedicated to Ayanima Bhattacharya)
