Poem

I sit and watch her type
never wanting to get up
she tells me that she likes me
and my heart begins to pound
i have liked her for so long
yet never thought she cared for me
my breath floats away
as i begin to say
the smooth line i knew would change
they way that we both felt.
and on the day which we should meet
i watch the time roll  by 
i know she's gotten cold feet
and my eyes start to tear
i walk to wear she used to sit
and make eye contact in passing
after awkward times and talking
bright red, both me and her
we make plans again, twice more
i am forgotten
i have the revelation
in which my soul must rest
i decide her hearts not in it
but with no courage to say it
instead of a magic kiss
i write the ending words
my heart starts to slow, my eyes start to tear
i look one last time at her picture
and walk away for good.
