Burdened For America The light becomes dim, and we bow our head to pray, We need you God – to lead us through our day. So much despair, and worry on every hand. What has happened to America, and our once Christian land? We’ve been told we cannot pray or read from Gods word, It’s become so sad what America has become – it’s really absurd. The courts have removed the commandments, and all of Gods rules- And have replaced them with wrong and enticing tools. It’s time we take a stand, for Gods word in our lives today- It’s time we kneel and ask the Lord for direction as we pray. Turn this world around, and bring revival to our land. That God will once again bless our world by His own loving hand. We are told to watch how we celebrate Christmas day, To wish a seasons greetings, in a small hushed way. But it’s time we yell as loud, as we possibly can to all- We will follow the Christ child – and heed the Masters call. As for me and my house – we will serve the Lord, We will uphold His loving name, and swing the mighty sword. We will pronounce that God is still in mighty control, We must turn our sin around – before it takes its toll. Bring our children up to respect our God in loving ways., Teach them how to love Him – and prayer for there days. For those who will uphold – and keep His word true along the way, Will find that we will enter heavens gates some wonderful day. The light becomes dim, and we bow our head to pray, We need you God – to lead us through our day. So much despair, and worry on every hand. What has happened to America, and our once Christian land? A Burden for America. By: Wendell Mays
