Poem
Love Sick I take a deep breath To calm myself Forget about that you left Left me, For somone else Days go by I feel so empty on the inside You and I were one Or so I thought I can't forgive you for what you've done You played me for a fool Yes I could have fought But why fight for a tool? You played me Betrayed me I thought our love was real Like a thief in the night You stole my heart You made me think everything was alright Along with my heart I gave you my soul You've torn both of them apart Now I feel nothing There's nothing but this huge hole I've become numb And wonder why I acted so dumb Was it all just a trick? No, I was just love sick You put me under your spell Your loving eyes put me in a trance And so I fell You made me think we stood a chance Against the challenges of life All the words, love, and comfort It was all just a lie You took my heart and stabbed it with a knife At times I think I'm going to go insane But I'm beginning to realize I have nothing to lose, but everything to gain You played me Betrayed me I thought our love was real Like a thief in the night You stole my heart You made me think everything was alright Along with my heart I gave you my soul You've torn both of the apart There's nothing to say But one thing to do Start a new life, one without you It was all just a trick I'm no longer under your spell I'm no longer love sick Now you come to me When your new love Did what you did to me Expecting me to take you back After everything that has been said and done I just brush you off my shoulder like a speck of dust My new life has already begun And I don't want your love, or what I call lust There's nothing you could say or do to fix things now Just leave, go without a sound You played me Betrayed me I thought our love was real Like a theif in the night You stole my heart You made me think everything was alright Along with my heart I gave you my soul You've torn both of them part I can only take so much Now I've taken that knife To cut it out and put in box So I can no longer fall fo such tricks So I won't become love sick No one can touch The box is locked tight Away from anyone's sight There is a key To unlock my heart But the only person to reach my heart Is one who can make me truly happy From the very beginning, from the start.
