Poem

As the hours slowly drift by
All my hopes start to die

The current hour is two
And all I can think about is you
I wish you knew I loved you all along
I think of you all day
I love you in every way
Your hair, eyes, charm, and elegance
You are just perfect
And I am not enough as a person
To be worth it all
Because of this I fall
Deeper into thought
You were all I sought

The current hour is three
And I no longer want to be
Alone on this earth
No pity or self worth
I just do not think anyone will miss me
Affection today is a lie
I lay awake and cry
And inside I just start to die

The current hour is four
And I am starting to think I don't want to live anymore
What did I live my life for
I never had a lover
Someone I could talk to for hours
Make me happy
But because of this I am sad
And in a sense I am glad
No longer should I be a burden
To others around me
I will set my soul free

The current hour is five
And I am no longer alive
The gun that had sat in my drawer
Is now with me on this floor
My life no more
