Heading home from work one day,
Saw something disturbing along the way.
A car rapidly approaching in my rear view,
As I wondered what the driver would do'

She was cruisin' and talking on her cell phone;
No one else in her car; she was all alone.
Even tho' she was coming on fast,
She managed to stop in time, thus avoiding a crash.

Was this really what the cell's inventors had planned-
That so many folks would drive with their cell in their hands?
For emergency use, I think they're okay;
And even for help in finding's ones way.

Overall, I think it's a dangerous trend;
The most frequent use is talking to friends.
Perhaps folks use them to order a meal;,
Or, in hopes of closing the deal of all deals'

Why risk an accident while using the phone,
Just checking to find out if Junior is home.
Sell the cell and concentrate on your driving,
It will improve your chances of safely arriving'

"Tis true, I often talk to one who is home,
But, my conversation requires no phone.
My driving is still done with care,
"Cause when I"m talking in my car; it's something called prayer.
There's no phone to cause any distraction,
So I can monitor other motorist's actions.

God always hears me when I pray.
And there is no dropped calls along the way'
I also pay no roaming charges,
And through prayer, my understanding of God enlarges'
