Poem
(Oh-oh, oh-oh) (Yeah, yeah) Sweet summer gypsy girl, I see you in the rain, Lost in the haze, like I’ve known you forever — and it’s strange. You dance like you’re made of stars, But I can’t quite reach you, no matter how far. Verse 1 I catch glimpses of you — in that beautiful night sky Do you look to the heavens and ever wonder why We’re half a world away.. how come it feels so near Like awakening from a dream and suddenly it’s clear Sometimes I question, am I just chasing ghosts? Or are you out there, too, wondering what hurts most? I can feel you in the silence, like a song unsung, To be awakened, while you sleep, has left me quite undone Chorus Sweet summer gypsy girl, do you hear it too? Something between us, maybe we always knew. I won’t say it, not yet, not now, But if you listen close, you’ll know somehow. Dance like the stars, but stay near the ground, Let the music catch us, in the space we’ve found. Verse 2 Your writings are a storm, that shake my bones, And in the quiet, I’m still waiting all alone. I don’t know how we’re meant to finally meet, But there’s a fire in me, and I can’t retreat. You’re soul’s somewhere out there, I know it’s true, I’m just trying to survive… waiting for you. Maybe it’s a test, or maybe it’s just time, But I’ll hold on — and pray you read the signs. Chorus Sweet summer gypsy girl, do you see it too? Something between us, maybe we always knew. I won’t say it, not yet, not now, But if you listen close, you’ll know somehow. Dance like the stars, but stay near the ground, Let the music catch us, in the space we’ve found. Bridge In another life, we weren’t worlds apart, I felt your touch, your heartbeat, right from the start. I knew your words before they left your lips, My songs were in your soul — like a secret kiss. North node of Pisces, we were always meant to be, I can still feel your pull, even across the sea. In the distant silence, I’ve never needed sound, We’ve always been together, just waiting to be found. Repeat Chorus Outro So when the rain comes down, and you breathe it in, I’ll be somewhere close, ready to love again. I’m not rushing you girl — I’ve got time to wait, When you’re ready to remember, I’ll be there, won’t be late. Sweet summer gypsy girl, it’s always been you, I remember you, Do you remember me too? Awake (Oh-oh, oh-oh) Note: What if there was once two inseparable soulmates from a past life. Now, only one has been awakened to the past. What to do? It’s a risky thing. This is that story
