Poem
Luke 11:36 If thy whole body therefore be full of light, having no part in dark, the whole shall be full of light, as when the bright shining of a candle doth give thee light. Write my heart in light, softly glowing So the winds of summer keep flowing Rising with the dawn, blessings growing So the song of life is alive, hope ongoing Write my soul in light, gently rising From the whispers of a life, energizing Remembering that love is uncompromising Burning within souls, it’s mesmerizing Write my spirit in light, serenity’s song Revealing the moments I’ve known all along Coloring my life in a love so very strong Gently abiding, making right all that’s wrong Write my life in light, the wisp of grace Who rises from the Son, it’s in His embrace Wherever I go, I see love that time can’t erase One day I’ll see this Jesus I love, face to face Write my story in light, streaming from above It is the joy that flies in the skies like a dove Revealing the glorious hope that fits like a glove It’s blessed by this Jesus who is the light of love Write my song in light, from the notes of a prayer Telling the wind and sea that He’s alive in the air Always telling me that love is alive and I’m aware Jesus is the One who shares a love beyond compare Write my tears in light that flows from my soul Knowing that there is hope, despite all the enemy stole Assuring me that Jesus is with me, making me whole And even when I don’t feel it, there is love who’ll console Write my moments in light that encourage me to give With a pen that is alive, with ink that’s transformative Give me hope in each promise, He will surely forgive Despite my sins, He tells me that I can truly live… Without fear – I can embrace this love that is His All I need to do is listen to all that He says… About being a light for others so they will catechize Understanding the purpose of One who surely is… All that I’ll ever need, in this life or the next The One who writes in light, a holy text Revealing the love that abides with divine effects, Inspiring the soul to believe – it will never perplex! This little light of mine, written by the One who never rejects I believe in Him and my heart and soul forever respects All that He is, the light felt within, - He always protects This weary soul, the heart that I know His love perfects.
