Poem

Horrible things. 
Toothaches and no one does anything about it. 
On my skin, there are pores where anything possible could grow. 
No one knows much about me. 

When you’re depressed, you just nod. 
Facing toward nothing. 
Taking your time like a bored toad. 
Wishing someone else would take over your thoughts. 

I could get in a car crash. 
Or my car could just laugh at me. 
Just the thought of the crash that never happened. 
Is like a swelling feeling. 

The feeling appears like an apparition. 
Which feels less scary somehow. 
It’s just a ghost. 
Who floats like me. 

Shaking hands. 
The aching feeling slithers around my being. 
So I try to be less. 
The possibility of a crash enters my mind again. 

I could get in a car crash. 
Bits of glass in my hair. 
Everything is sparkling like a panic attack. 
Touching my car and it’s really real and not destroyed. 

I don’t drive much. 
They are probably laughing. 
Like apparitions, but they’re just people I love. 
So I turn on the tv. 

Nothing happens anymore. 
I just sleep a lot.
