Checked by www.howmanysyllables.com>syllable_counter ************************************************************** The World is Bleeding Behold, men of reason, our bleeding world, With a bloody, raging war long unfurled, Children moaning in darkness of despair Just left lo themselves without any care After saddening loss of their father; Bewail the fate of a distressed mother Grieving the loss of her spouse and her child In a long blood-stained war brutish and wild Between two well endowed advanced nations Defying rules of all rigid sanctions. Behold, citizens of our bleeding earth The destruction of infrastructure worth Many a hundred billions of dollars, Shining hopes of residents to splinter To become strangers in their own country, For many, their means reduced to scanty With pitiful basic infrastructure And often with shattered social structure; Many a humane heart bleeds at such plight And are surfed with sympathy at such sights. Behold, men of present generation Wilful disarray in wealth creation, The fateful loss of schooling by children, With their future goals and vision smitten On the bare rocks of dull and dark despair At sight of bleeding corpses without care, Blown by hostile guns just lying aground And stinking human cadavers around, With voice of international justice In vain and pitched down a deep precipice. Behold, mindful men of our bleeding time Conflicts in the Middle-East at its prime The endless loss of sacred human life In bleeding battles waged as daily strife; Bewail the woeful misery of men Sinking deep down a dreadful drowning den, Deprived of primary essential needs, With not even bare broken bones to feed For those subdued at the low ladder`s rung Who in the deepest poverty are slung. In other climes, bloodshed and civil strife Are common scenes in the drama of life Spreading toxic venoms of violence Sourcing from the sheer dearth of tolerance Sowing seeds of division amidst states Blowing the wild woeful winds of sheer hate Massive displacement of man like cattle In awful short-lived shelters to settle Leading to weltering waves of distress And amidst families, clouds of sadness. Beware gentlemen, those who live by swords Kiss the ground at the gateway of the Lord, Beware that justice of the Mighty Lord Discerns no flaws, no frowns, as His records Are faultless and none can ever afford To escape his own due, going forward. Beware thoughtful men, in the sands of time Bleeding wars lead to victims and war crimes, Never a bloody war creates victor, It leads to downfall of moral rigours, Untold, unseen and countless savagery Crossing the far bounds of humanity; In the north or south, in the west or east Will surface the sparkling sunshine of peace Only with real brotherhood of men And ever living as a faithful friend.
