Poem
Spirit of Peace in my spirit, where I sometimes see beyond the darkness, beneath the grief there lives a hope, a light, His love comforting, guiding, reminding me that whatever may come… He abides with me, a faithful friend the wonder of my life, the music who never lets go of my hand, who silences my tears and fears, while leading me to the love that only God could give love that is forever – restoring me seeing me through the endless pleas for a melody so sweet, a song who stirs the wind and seas, a song who reminds me whatever there is, whatever has been wherever I go, wherever I’ve been… He is with me, holding me up when I feel like I might fall – like I might fail despite all the grief, despite all the doubt there is One who knows me and He assures when troubles come, when I can’t see a way out His love is stronger than any sorrow, He is greater than any fear He is the anchor… holding my faith so that I can reach my destination – the home He has for me… heaven awaits and I believe Whatever happens, whatever grief there is purpose in His plan – even when I don’t understand He sees all that I am and all that I’ve been And He makes a way through the darkest dread He promises to stay with me, even through death He promises to reveal to me… the love that only He can bring Love that guides me through the tears, Gently guiding me past the worst of my tears And allowing me to see, even when I can’t understand the wonder of a hope that has always been God’s plan the beauty of a love that has always been wherever I am, guiding me through all the grief and giving me sure relief. The One sent to shower me with His sweet peace the Holy Ghost, the Comforter, the everlasting Grace the Holy Spirit who offers me the gentlest embrace I’m so very thankful that, one day, I’ll meet Him face to face One of these days – I’ll know what He meant… When He told me … “That ye may be blameless and harmless, the sons of God, without rebuke, in the midst of a crooked and perverse nation, among whom ye shine as lights in the world;” Philippians 2:15
