Poem
that rock over there, the one with the smooth gray surface, blended with light it looks like a promise, weakened by the darkness softer than the heat that pours out melting torrents of blazing light, sun’s song wishing that I might sing along… that bird, a fleeting glimpse of happiness on wings so graceful and delightful they seem to sing with the tune of the sun’s rhythm joyful and convinced that hope remembers, the light softens as it breaks through the mist rising on the river, sun’s glowing… that dew drenched rose, with elegant petals whispering sweetness to the dawn stirring the music of every heart song embracing the feelings so hope sings along alive, like the colors of a miracle poured out into the spirit who believes in the distant stories, the poetry… that raindrop, fading beneath the clouds risking its gentling, its rhythms sliding over the mountains, the meadows erasing the dusty mist of afternoon with the winds of a hesitant blessing falling on the heavy memories blowing apart the whimsical feelings, arising to reveal the presence of a song who plays in the grass, the melancholic blue of a sky who always knew… that moment, before you knew the night would soon fade from the poem and all around, the light would pour in soothing the spirit, creating imaginary seeds who begin to sprout victories, poetry from the earth’s leftover emotions, fluid dreams of what might be… that joy, who comes from those who see beyond the shadows, to the heart of the belief the knowing… that yesterday has taken up its wings and will never be, a part of the now who sees beyond the darkness, to the still cool need for a gentle word, a story unheard the poetry of you and me, our love… beyond words, beyond grief whatever comes, there is you and me, the promise, the prayer, the praise it will always amaze… in the rhythms of a silent tune there is a blessing, a gentle word pure as hope and as graceful as love it is the blessing of knowing our bond will never doubt – we’ll always hold on because we know.. whatever might come we have something better than poetry we have something wiser than knowledge we have a connection, a tie that leads to the warmth of adoration that will always be…. the wonder of what lives, between you and me there is love that will never leave there is hope that will always be there is a story that seeks to see beyond the darkness, beyond the grief to the music that is such sweet peace the song that rhymes with sensitivity the love that is alive and will always be the link that abides between you and me!
