Poem
The crescent ~ half awake, yet wholly aware, like the essence of my presence ~ drowsy and divine ~ glowing in golden hues is the mentor leading me through scented silence. I am the thorn and the petal, the yin and yang, the dusk and dawn, the salt and smoke ~ an ember of fire creased in lunar light, a quoted metaphor carved beneath breathing blues, twirling across the twilight in musical stillness ~ abandoning form and ego, in sync with the serenades that swirl through veins like galaxies awaiting to sprinkle seraphic dust upon my mindful skin. I face the skyline, sipping dews of diamond drizzles, like a fulcrum of a rose that blooms beyond the sweetness of nectarine ~ for I am gentle, yet strong; I am more than bleeding pastel and ink on pale paper. I am the m a g i c that flows, an ineffable aura that seeks not accolades from sleeping stars. I surf like an eagle feather, dipped in sapphire-glazed dreams, conscious of the unseen, I feel the aching intricacies nestling within sacred sepals ~ homing thistles ~ tracing the whispers of the moon, falling upon the soils around me like tender tendrils dancing in the wind, when the air speaks in sonnets and the breeze echoes the light that beams in the pulse of my enlightened psyche, in sync with the chakras that fear not the material mists carrying ephemeral desires… O beloved Almighty, my heart ~ a chalice of blushing vines, trembles to the tune of untouched kindness, like infinite haze resembling fragrant phases of blooming florals, veiled by eternal love, merged in colors of candor ~ an evergreen effervescence caressing the wisdom growing in the womb of flowers… But what if love wears glitter ~ like an angelic silhouette, the shadow of my thoughts, a rose without an intoxicating fragrance, but a balmy scent ~ illuminating the quiescence that lingers in lilac and lavender across strands of spirituality, soft as the fragility of astral gardens, subtly sprouting in hues of harmony? Would I still ache for your beauty that radiates within ~ resting in resilience, rooted in righteousness, emanating integrity, lacking jinxed jasmines jaded in judgmental jingles, purifying the sand that holds tales no tongue can tweak ~ a sonnet without a sound, a rhyme without a rhythm, a voice of virtue truest and faithful, only the empathetic empyrean can feel when dark is the eventide… R e m e m b er me ~ not as the written perfection, nor the pristine pigments or woven words within vulnerable verses, but as a rose that endured and weathered the bitter and broken, the withered and wicked winds of seasons pushing and pulling the delicate devotion tied to the celestial fields, where I am more than just petals and thorns ~ a rose fluent in the language of l o v e~ beautifully flawed yet sculpted in blissful radiance ~ flawless in seamless form, a mosaic art etched with p e a c e , a bride of hope veiled in vines and honeysuckle hurricanes… I am beyond skin of ink, I am the rhapsody that ricochets from my mellifluous heart to the Elysian meadows…
