crying isnt enough
the fire that burns within is hot and heavy
salty tears cannot fix this.
venom laces with my blood and my veins are on fire.
the dangerous stream that falls down my face isn't from sadness...

my blood boils 
my fists clench
i scream.

tears aren't always sad.
they're happy,
they're excited,
theyre humorous.
they're fake..?
and yet mine are livid

tears are deceiving.
shapeshifting
and yet a mirror
they transform a persons demeanour
yet they provide a window to the soul.

my tears are livid.
I am livid.

let them see the wildfire they created.
if tears are a window let them see the embers burning bright in the depths of my darkness.

my tears are my release and they think me weak for it.

but this time it's not enough.
not enough.
never enough.
i am livid.
i am outraged.
i am betrayed.

if tears are a window let them see how they broke me.
let them see the walls that build faster than their words fall. 

my mother told me 'sticks and stones may break your bones but words will never hurt you.'

she was wrong.

let her use my window to see my despair.
my yearning for understanding.

if tears are shapeshifting let them swallow me whole. 
for betrayal has numbed my senses and suddenly i yearn for the happy and humorous tears.
