SEA WANTS ME Waves are here for the winners spirals floating in turquoise dance ululating undulating blue bright sight a point with paddle board to soar sanguine Seas I know not whether I’m merman or beach sand speck two meters high wants to shame, but they are only game Seen on yacht so ready steady from Cape to Rio spectators on Signal Hill watched entranced teal silver hippie my seagull flag away with ropes unfrayed billowing winds to another shore bigger waves the better I want some more Captain or boatswain accolade anchor swings so sound crabs welter skelter from Indian to Atlantic then Pacific oceanic breadths, opah swims with me smoking weed, chomping sweets Andromedan home beacons for rule where watching waters miss my cool drools Give me a boat or ship with brassy engine room seamen’s stroke, greasy jokes sailor’s whaler hat or woollen cap French style I’ll sail to any isle stormy seas or soft breeze through Bermuda Triangle I worry not as long as deep fish remains my wish, to English madams or Southern slaves sail with hail is my domain Yet my Heart sings not, for Sea wants me to find her water is my passage, a sagely message lifetime after lifetime separation wound aches ~ on an African sunflower farm I saw her when in colonial Portuguese ports I found cohorts, but alas ! she was taken in gold ring and petticoats sure, settler Dutchman got my goat instructing the colonialised to eat oats how our soulful eyes spoke without tears lashes and hearts shivered, shook witnessing sardine crooks on lands not theirs for taking In seventh heaven our parlour awaits through dolphin gates a bed of oyster arches seaweed circle trout gardens to care and Neptunium seals pardon my bugle return from Earth singing peace songs to reach deep heat, sweat dripping before Thanksgiving treats had to paddle before to Mother’s saddle mount, could not escape family holidays, hip-hop dazed Forever Sea and me its knowingness of emotion as movement and pure stillness reflected many moonshine planets even with a house to build karmic contracts to fulfil books to read, funerals to attend spoken word poetry to bend so many journeys to swing Gaia curriculum certainly not all neat, with messy heartaches sad scribbles not could drown migraine abound Aborigine court cases sound bite chokes, no joke though shored caverns galore with forest fair brother explored Sea wants me to return to conch shell from whence I was born Here comforted I can curl away from boisterous hurls where her Heart is ruby urchin gifted by sea lichen for my own to cherish undying, unborn agelessness becomes my restful becoming musing unforlorn
