There is a lovely town l know of called Habitat Bay Where the residents are of the animal kind Living together in harmony A community supportive and aligned Duck is the towns only doctor A beloved doctor to all indeed Many of the towns folk Have ongoing medical needs Parrot is the Doctors receptionist She is sweet natured but talks incessantly The patients just adore her She chats and makes endless cups of chamomile tea Frog is a long time patient who smokes heavily He coughs, splutters and croaks Gets advice, help and nicotine patches Yet ,he’s never missed a single day without a smoke Wolf and Goat attend the surgery Both suffer with depression They cry ,howl and role play While attending their doctors session Penguin is another regular at the surgery Road rage and anger is what he knows Continually honking his horn Yelling obscenities out his car window Turkey is a gobbling overeater Who struggles with his weight Forever trying fad diets Weight loss injections is his current fate Chicken has always been clucky Maternal and a natural mother Doctor takes care of her pregnancies and kids Twenty kids in tow and soon to be others The Local Hotel is the towns meeting place Where the towns folk get together to socialise There is always entertainment and a happy buzz Regular patrons are the hotels watchful eyes Camel, Sheep and Frog are the daily patrons Beer in hand and propped up at the bar Camel is grumpy , grunts ,spits on the bar floor Sheep is the heaviest drinker by far Bird and Zebra are besties Both are chirpy and whistle a lot Friends with Monkey and Magpie who love a good chat And Kookaburra and Hyena who laugh non stop The entertainment at the hotel is a loved local band Who go by the name of ‘ Animals By The Bay’ They get the town folk up on the dance floor To shimmy and boogy the night away Woodpecker the towns carpenter is leader of the band He is the bands incredible piano player Woodpecker has many roles within the town One being the Town Mayor Whale is the bands brilliant singer, Penguin plays a mean french horn Rabbit is the amazing drummer , Zebra…known as Stripe on guitar Elephant blows a mighty trumpet Each band member in their own right a superstar! Habitat Bay is an unbelievable community With wonderful characters galore A town with folk from all walks of life A perfect example where solidarity and equality soar
