Poem
The outside world makes me sick, suffocates me, dissolves my essence beneath my own skin, Home seems like a distant illusion, reality—a thin veil ready to tear, I beg for other shells to cover my body, to hide my vulnerability, Loose clothes, shining chains, quiet shoes—all to divert attention. I try to hide the pain, to blur the days that mercilessly slip through the hourglass of time, I wonder if the mirror is kinder when I am dressed in silence, wrapped in grays, I hope the silence sewn into threads can calm the storms in my restless mind, But silk cannot stop a soul from crying, gold cannot prevent fears from flying. Should I have stayed home, in my comfortable bed, my safe haven? To watch the world through the window of all the things I ever imagined, Or to step into chaos and embrace my inner beauties, hidden deep within? I feel like a stranger in my own skin, an actor on a stage too big, too bright, I search for my identity among the folds of clothes, in the reflection of shining chains, But the truth is, no mask can fully hide the trembling of the soul. The world is a labyrinth of mirrors, each reflecting another version of me, I wonder which is the real one, which is the one I want to show the world, My steps hesitate between the comfort of isolation and the courage to expose myself vulnerably. Maybe my inner beauty is like a night flower, blooming in shadow, Maybe the chaos outside is just an echo of the storms within me, And maybe the true journey is not outward, but into the depths of my being. Every morning, when I put on my mask to face the world, I whisper to myself that I am more than the clothes I wear, more than the fears that haunt me, I am a constellation of thoughts, dreams, and emotions, hidden beneath a sky of skin and bones. So I step into chaos, with a heart trembling but determined, To embrace my shadows and lights, to accept my vulnerabilities and strengths, For only by facing the world can I discover who I truly am, An eternal dance between concealment and revelation, between fear and courage, between me and the world.
