Poem
The ole beech tree has so many memories and so much history They say you can figure the age of a tree by the circles around But on this ole beech there are far too many circles for me to count The ole beech tree provides us with shade from the sun It's also close to the place we shoot our guns The ole beech tree was there when I drank too much and threw up and believe it or not that ole beech tree helped me to stand back up The ole beech tree was there when people fell down The ole beech tree helped stopped them from falling down the hill The ole beech tree is a place where several birds come to nest It's also a place at night where the owls come to rest The ole beech tree is a playground for the squirals to play In the fall it's leafs are so pretty I could sit and look at it all day The ole beech tree stands close to the camp fire which is my favorite place to be The ole beech tree has heard everyones stories The ole beech tree is filled with everyones secrets but that's ok For if you ever need to vent the ole beech tree will listen to you all day The old beech tree is wise beyond it's years If something ever happens to that ole beech tree so many would be in tears Even through some of the strongest storms and weather that ole beech tree still stands tall I pray that ole beech tree lives forever and never does fall
