1 John 1:7 “But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.” In the vacuuming, the roar of a voice – softly churning, remembering my purpose… my soul is burning – soundless stories, a still, calm voice, offering me hope it is God’s gentling, my choice – the way I can cope with the endless strife, all the doubts and dark clouds, moments flooded with shadows amidst a spirit’s crowds – tempting me to listen to the voice of evil deception, the enemy who would have me believe I’m no exception… but, oh, that old, old story, the one who reveals a light, beyond the vacuum’s growl, despite the grumbling night a story of love that will always live, a love that is true more kind the heart could invent – love that is sweet and new kind like the mercy, the grace, that hand lifted in praise rising like the morning sun, playing notes of love that stays revealing what it means to love without conditions, love in a way that convinces the night that it’s suspicions are only fears way of dimming the Son’s rays the Son who is the only way, as my heart prays… on and on, the silence of a thought – blessed by grace restoring the soul with faith, offering the heart breathing space, as the light reflects what has been beautiful, trembling healing every thought, each shame, the sin resembling what is the past’s pointing finger, embarrassing the soul who remembers the humiliation, the sin that left a hole the dread of a part that was washed away by the flood, the lamb has taken away the stain, with His blood… as I vacuum and clean, remembering the broken wing that I struggled to fix, realizing that I must cling to the One who changed my life, who brought the soul changing sacrifice so that I might live – a life that is fulfilled, a life that was prepared for me – oh, I’m thrilled to know the One who lived and died, rose again so when I hear of His life, His love, I say Amen! Just as I vacuum up the dirt, He cleansed me from all the worst I was, - oh, now I see what it means to live a life filled with love because God sent His Son from above, to strengthen me when I’m weak – to offer me the hope that I seek, to remind me that, only through Him am I saved from a future so grim I don’t even want my worst enemy to die, without being saved from the hell where they’ll cry because without His light to reflect my only hope I wouldn’t know what it is to truly cope – Jesus is the answer to all the problems I’m met with He is the only reality even though some think He’s a myth.
