sung my Iron Maiden

This is my version.

Robin William died in August 2014
at the age of sixty-three at home
the autopsy revealed death by hanging
but they also saw Lewy Body Dementia 
it was the worst case doctors had ever seen

in school he disguised his shyness
with humour making people laugh
he was bullied 'cause he dressed wierd
voted most likely to not succeed
yet, he became a national treasure
with his comedic style and acting skill
he had the ability to create characters
but in private he wept 
tears of a clown
as he slipped into substance abuse
and paranoia
his smiles masked his depression and
tears of a clown

it began with stand up comedy
then, television with Mork and Mindy
thrust him into stardom and not just comedic roles
some of my fav's are Jumanj, Mrs. Doubtfire
Hook, Dead Poets, Fisher King and many more

mis-diagnosed with Parkinson Disease
the Lewy Dementia had spread through his brain
tears of a clown
oh, he must have suffered trying to hide it
using his humour to hide it
make people laugh was what it became
you know, Robin had gone to Juilliard school
had earned trophies and awards for his accomplishment
described by his peers as a human dynamo
Oh, the tears of a clown
as he slipped into substance abuse
and paranoia
his smiles masked his depression and
tears of a clown

oh, he must have suffered trying to hide it
