Don't think it strange when someone attacks!
A person you hold dear ,stabs you in the back!
Learn from God's word that all people are flawed.
To God nothing about our behavior is odd!

Many times I hung around people, just to appear cool.
Then regretted it the next day, how I looked like a fool!
Attempted to try things and I knew it was wrong.
Oh, the depths! we will sink just trying to belong.

At seventeen in Germany wanting peer respect and love.
Cocaine once, and speed many times, up my nose I did shove.
My heart went into A-fib and I began to cry.
God if you are there, please don't let me die.
I'll start reading the bible. Make this nightmare end.
And first thing tomorrow, I'll look for new friends."

It amazingly stopped right after my prayer.
"My promise, I'll keep to you Lord. I swear!"
The next day I quickly forgot what I said.
God kindly reminded me with a thought in my head. 

I don't have a bible Lord, I said with a grin.
A few minutes later, I cross paths with a friend.
He was a Christian that flew to Germany next to me.
I tried to pretend what he had I didn't see.

He walked over to me and said "God sent me to you"
I proceeded to tell him what I recently went through.
He gave me the bible and then we did pray.
Then he turned around and just walked away.

I do not remember my old dear friend's name.
But that day in Germany, I was never the same.
I've battled the same foolishness all through my life.
Disobeyed God which leads to much strife.

Everyone does it because we're all made the same.
When you do. Ask God's forgiveness in Jesus name!
It's God's gift. So AMAZING! free for all who are lost.
He came, suffered and die for mankind on the Cross!

No matter how many times you get yourself off track.
Run to our Father, he'll help you get back.
Your old friend will mock you for the new thing you do.
Just pray for their souls and one day they'll thank you!!!
