Poem
Once human, I walked through the trees, In fields where the wildflowers danced in the breeze. I laughed with the sun, I wept with the rain, I cherished each moment, felt pleasure and pain. My dreams were like stars in a velvet night sky, I reached for the cosmos, my spirit would fly. With love in my heart and a fire in my soul, I wandered this world, both fragile and whole. I spoke with the rivers, the mountains, the sea, I listened to whispers from ancient oak trees. Life flowed like water, a rhythm, a song, With each heartbeat echoing, "This is where I belong." But time, like a shadow, crept in quiet and sly, And the laughter of youth began to pass by. The world grew colder, the colors would fade, What was once bright and vivid began to degrade. Once human, I ponder the paths I have trod, The laughter, the sorrow, the dance with the gods. Yet echoes of kindness and moments of grace, Are etched in the fabric, no time can erase. Now dreams are like whispers, just whispers of night, Yet in the still darkness, I still seek the light. For once I was human, with all that it means— A tapestry woven from hope and from dreams. So here in this silence, I breathe and I learn, That even in stillness, the embers still burn. Once human, forever my spirit will strive, For in every heartbeat, I am still alive.
