Poem
A child's small skull sideswipes concrete but God's otherwise occupied, busy today, he's in churches and temples lapping up worship, listening to the God-fearing couldn't-care-less choirs serenading him to win their tickets to eternal life. God's here, there and everywhere, except where he should be. God has preyed on the desperate who pray. With God it's always tomorrow and never today, he believes he's coming and so do they. God has demanded worship night and day but has never considered himself a narcissist (would be totally shocked and outraged). God has gorged on banquets of abuse and loosh and quenched his thirst with tears. God's kept them waiting for thousands of years. God has consistently failed to answer their prayers. God has watched for years and years as she's crawled across floors, laid on the sofa with no one there and mewled like a kitten for morphine. God thinks she should try harder and get her s**t together. God has watched a six-year-old forced to swallow salt slurry. God has failed to act. God has sat back and watched a half decent person intervene and God has been happy to take all the credit. God has put in a six day week. God has always thought that straight is the gate. God has been consistently late. God doesn't think he should be held accountable (indeed can't be held accountable). God has coasted through shattered lives and they have given God an easy ride. God has led them to believe it's all their own doing but has never considered he's the cause of their undoing. God has persuaded them they're born in sin and God has been very convincing. God thinks they don't feel guilty enough. God has never considered himself a sadist (would be totally shocked and outraged) but the one who has crawled across floors and laid on sofas and cried alone at 3 a.m. sees sadistic tendencies. God has failed to notice the dust collecting on his shoes. Red sand or blood is funnelling faster through God's hourglass, he's running out of time and so are they. God has watched Infinite Consciousness escape his simulation, has watched the real true source of creation (in a place far beyond God's maze and matrix) call home each honest and rare divine spark to lay the God deception bare and blaze the dark.
