April 21 Faith in God Bible Meditations Based on 2Kings 1-3

FAITH IN GOD WHO IS THE ALMIGHTY LORD	

God is our Almighty Lord Who answers our inquiry
Always ruling over us by His truth throughout history
While subduing our pride of vain glory
Toward our faith’s strength by His Gospel story.

God is our Almighty Lord Who prevails by His omnipotence
Always shining by His holiness-persistence
While conquering our stubbornness’ insistence
Toward our faith’s dependence on Him without pretense.

God is our Almighty Lord Who smites our selfishness
Always granting our souls forgiveness for our confessed sinfulness
While enclosing us with His peacefulness
Toward our faith’s reliance upon His graciousness.

God is our Almighty Lord Who guides us with His approval
Always guarding our steps against waywardness as a rival
While checking our moves from carnal interferences’ interval
Toward our faith’s excitement for His grand arrival.

God is our Almighty Lord Who cares for our needs
Always nourishing our spirits by His Word that feeds
While disciplining us for our greed of covetousness-breeds
Toward our faith’s stand to follow Him Who leads.

God is our Almighty Lord Who asserts that He is indeed loving
Always teaching us by His wisdom against humanistic perceiving
While securing our hearts from doubt-caused grieving
Toward our faith’s direction to Him, constantly cleaving.

God is our Almighty Lord Who helps us unceasingly
Always encouraging to trust Him fervently
While blessing our prayer lives fruitfully
Toward our faith’s increase to serve Him zealously.

God is our Almighty Lord Who directs us to walk in His light
Always illumining our minds from unbelief’s blight
While instructing us by His counsel so right
Toward our faith’s steadfastness in our stewardship-might.
