Poem

She loved a boy, so calm, so kind,  
A gentle soul, a different mind.  
His voice, a place where she found peace,  
Her restless thoughts began to cease.  

They talked, they laughed — her heart took flight,  
Each word from him just felt so right.  
But then she learned, through quiet pain,  
His heart belonged to someone’s name.  

Still, she stayed, though dreams grew thin,  
Hoping fate might let her in.  
And slowly, like a shifting tide,  
He left the girl he'd loved with pride.  

He smiled more, he joked and teased,  
Her lonely heart was gently pleased.  
Was it love or just a game?  
She dared not ask, nor place the blame.  

But one day, with a trembling tone,  
She spoke the truth she’d longed to own.  
She told him all — her heart laid bare,  
In silent hope he'd meet her there.  

He didn’t speak, just let it lie,  
No reason given, no goodbye.  
And days moved on, cold silence grew,  
Her heart now broke, he never knew.  

They no longer talk, no messages sent,  
But her heart still clings to what it meant.  
Each night she prays, through tears that fall,  
"Let him be mine, in Your grand call."  

For even hurt can hold on tight,  
To dreams that bloom in softest light.  
And though he walked a different way,  
She hopes their paths might meet one day.
