Remember profiles crafted with such care, 
The perfect photo strategically placed there. 
A little snippet of who you longed to be, 
For online eyes and virtual company.

The endless scrolling through connections made, 
Friends of friends of friends, a network gently laid. 
That thrill of adding someone to your list, 
A digital nod, a connection that would persist.

The testimonials, a public, heartfelt plea, 
"You're so amazing!" for the world to see. 
Bragging rights secured in glowing earnest prose, 
A digital bouquet where friendship brightly grows.

Those quirky layouts personalized with flair, 
Backgrounds that clashed without a single care. 
Music players blaring a chosen favorite tune, 
Setting the mood beneath the digital moon.

The "Who's Viewed Me?" a curious tempting trace, 
A fleeting glimpse of a familiar face. 
A little mystery, a silent peek and go, 
Wondering who lingered down below.

Before the likes, the shares, the viral spree, 
There was Friendster's simplicity wild and free. 
A place to connect in a gentler slower time, 
Leaving digital footprints in their innocent prime.

Now other platforms gleam with features sleek and new, 
But a part of me still misses that familiar teal hue. 
Friendster fading, a memory bittersweet and true, 
A first taste of connection for me and maybe you.
